Description
2002 Agco ST40 Compact Tractor with Agco SL46 front end loader attachment 40 horsepower Turbocharged Diesel Just under 1100 hours 4wd 16 speed Power Shuttle Transmission Foldable ROPS (rollbar) 2 Sets of Remotes!- see picture of back of tractor. Synchronized shifting on forward/reverse lever as well as 3rd and 4th gear on the speed transmission -means tractor can be moving slowly when you shift; great for loader work! R-4 Industrial Tires  60" wide Oversized Light Material Bucket Rear Differential Lock 540 RPM rear PTO Three point hitch with Draft Control   THE GOOD: Engine starts right up and runs smoothly with no funny noises.  (Does require some glow plug, but it's supposed to!  It's a diesel!).  Transmission works fine, goes into all gears smoothly, clutch operates as it should.  Three point hitch goes up and down fine.  I didn't put anything on the three point to check the draft control, but have no reason to believe it doesn't work.  Loader goes up and down as it should.  Headlights work on high beam.  Tilt steering works.  As best I can tell, all indicators on the dash are working (tach, temp, etc.).  Tires are about 60%.  Seat is in good shape except for the lower right corner where it is starting to pull up a bit.  Bucket has been modified to hold more material -great for moving snow, shavings, or other light material!  Pix show where extensions were welded on.   WHAT NEEDS ATTENTION: Low beam of headlights not working.  Paint is faded -Orange is the brightest, so it fades the quickest!  The loader has faded to somewhat of a pinkish color -not sure why, but appears to be original paint.  Bucket has some rust in it, and cutting edge is worn some, but still has a lot of life left in it.  Homemade exhaust extension to route exhaust out from under the hood.  Engine does smoke a bit if you let it sit and idle for a while, but seems to have plenty of power and run smooth.  Nothing to be afraid of that I can see.  Suspension seat and tilt wheel lever could probably use a little oil to be loosened up.  Turn signals not working -4 way flashers work, but not turn signals.  Not sure why.  Side frames on loader frame have been welded up and reinforced.  Look to be plenty strong, but wanted to point out they have been welded.  Tractor has minor surface rust/scratches/scrapes from use.  Joystick control lever handle for remote valves has duct tape on it.     Overall, this is a good little tractor.  It is a lot of horsepower in a small frame package.  Most 40 hp tractors are physically much larger than this tractor.  Advantage? Better maneuverability in a barnyard setting or anywhere else you're working in tight quarters!    Will make someone a good dependable little tractor around the barn or the estate for a lot less than you'd pay for a new 40hp tractor! You're welcome to come take for a test drive around the lot before auction ends.  Questions, please ask before bidding and I'll try to answer as best as I can.  Comes with owner's manual for the tractor (sorry, I didn't get one with the loader). Tractor is in good shape, but is being sold AS-IS!! Bid to own! Shipping:  Local pickup preferred here at our Middletown, Delaware store. Can be picked up at any of our other three stores for an additional $30.00.  Also, IF PICKED UP AT ONE OF OUR STORES IN PENNSYLVANIA, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY 6% SALES TAX!! Log on to www.hoober.com for directions to any of our stores. We have a loading dock and can drive onto a truck for you, however, ANY AND ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS WOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER!    Item must be paid in full before it goes anywhere!  I am not responsible for any damages once the item leaves our Hoober, Inc. property.  Payment must be received within 7 days of end of auction or item will be relisted.
